Dear Paul:

I have the very great pleasure to announce that I passed the February 2001 California bar exam! As I look back over the past several months, flying the red-eye between Florida and Oakland, selling a house, moving to San Francisco, and studying for the bar, I confidently attribute my success to you. After taking your course, I felt far better prepared for the bar than during my  past attempt. Your methods and exercises for time management, spotting relevant issues, and for organizing and writing essays and performance tests, made all the difference in helping me to break old habits that were responsible for my past failure. Your personal review and detailed critique of written assignments were far more meaningful and helpful to correcting these habits than the shallow, generalized remarks penned atop the papers I received back from the last bar review course.

Many thanks, Paul, for everything! Especially for all of your encouragement and support, not only during the course but afterwards right up to the posting of results. Many times, I pulled out your cards and letters, and drew strength and confidence from your kind and caring words. No wonder you successfully led four expeditions to Everest! You certainly know how to make people reach deep down within themselves and call up the very best they have to offer. Needless to say, I highly recommend you and your course to anyone who is looking for the individual attention and guidance vital to putting this monster behind them. If I can be of any service to you or your prospective students, please feel absolutely free to call upon me. It's the very least I can do to thank you for helping me over this substantial hurdle.

With best regards and all good wishes,
