YOUR GOAL: PASS THE BAR
TO DO SO, BE SURE TO:
- Perfect your ability to use the FORMAL & INFORMAL writing skills.
- Do Simulated Exams: (1) Under timed conditions, (2) Use your ICO & Writing Style Delivery Systems (Formal/Informal; 6 paragraphing methods)
- Identify and perfect MBE weaknesses
- In practice, work on the convergence of (1) timing, and (2) the use of your writing methods (ICO’s & WSDS)
- Plan for the “end game” – the last week or so of your preparation: If you need more time to MEMORIZE (the law, ICO’s WSDS), then plan for it now. Remember: There are 14 essay subjects; giving yourself an extra hour for each would mean an extra 2 days (14 hours) for all
- Be positive; but keep things in perspective: The idea is to continue to improve; therefore: focus on what you need to do for the essay, PT, & MBE; i.e., “Perfect & Polish”
- Ask for help if you think you need it
- Follow your “Study Process”; be accountable; in particular, learn from the REVIEW part of the study process re issues you miss and the MBE areas that need improvement
- Don’t worry about what you can’t control
- Avoid “Group Think”; A committee doesn’t take the bar for you; only you do
- A little “R&R” can be a good thing
- Re-Visit the “20 Steps” (Essay Writing List); Work at perfecting those steps you need to improve; Continue to use it “open book”
- Play the “Virtual Realty” Game; Envision performing the bar (not just preparing for it) and using the 18 hours more effectively
